Tao Mei is the Founder and CEO of HiDream.ai, a high-tech company pioneering generative intelligence for creativity. He is an International Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of ACM, IEEE, IAPR and CAAI.
Dr. Mei is a world-renowned expert in artificial intelligence, computer vision, and multimedia. He has published highly cited research, received 15 international paper awards, and holds over 70 granted patents. His work has powered numerous large-scale commercial products used daily by millions of users worldwide.
Prior to founding HiDream.ai, Dr. Mei served as Vice President of JD.COM and Senior Research Manager of Microsoft Research. He has held leading roles in the global research community, including Executive Committee Member of ACM SIGMM, Founding Co-chair of ACM Multimedia Asia, and member of the IEEE Jack S. Kilby Signal Processing Medal Committee and IEEE Fellow Committee.
Dr. Mei received his B.E. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He is an Adjunct Professor of USTC, Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), and Fudan University.

梅博士是人工智能、计算机视觉与多媒体领域的国际知名学者，论文被引用四万余次，荣获 15 项国际论文奖，拥有 70 余项授权专利。他长期引领前沿技术走向产业落地，主导研发的多项产品服务全球数百万日活用户。
在创办智象未来之前，梅博士曾担任京东集团副总裁、微软研究院资深研究员。他深度参与国际学术与技术治理，曾任 ACM SIGMM 执委会成员、ACM Multimedia Asia 创始联席主席，以及 IEEE Jack S. Kilby 信号处理奖和 IEEE Fellow 委员会成员。
梅博士本科及博士均毕业于中国科学技术大学，同时他还是该校以及香港理工大学和复旦大学的兼职教授。
